Recruitment consultant office manager Sarah Taylor is celebrating after completing the ultra-marathon running event the Hardmoors Princess Challenge on behalf of the Butterwick Hospice on Teesside.
Sarah, who works for Teesside-based recruitment company Techconsult UK, completed the 31 mile run which takes in places including Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar on the Yorkshire coast.
The senior recruitment consultant said: “At times I did wonder if I was lost but a quick “have you seen any runners down this way” to passing walkers was all the reassurance I needed to know I wasn’t lost.
“Running along the top of the cliffs of Whitby was a bit tricky, windy and quite muddy but I put my head down and pressed on. I can honestly say that I absolutely loved this event and will be doing it again next year.”
Sarah was running on behalf of the Butterwick Hospice which Techconsult support as an organisation.
Techconsult Managing Director, Steve Guest also an accomplished marathon and club-runner said: “We encourage our employees to get involved with charitable work and we try to promote a healthy living culture in the organisation.
“We chose to support Butterwick Hospice back in 2012 because I have personally had experience of their work through friends and relatives that have used their services, so it was an easy decision to support them both personally and corporately.
“I am delighted that Sarah is challenging herself and doing some good fundraising for the Hospice as well.”
