Senior Consultant – Integrated Management Systems
This isn’t a QSHE consultancy role for someone who wants to play it safe!
You want to be successful. You want to be part of a business with strong momentum. And you want to play a leading role in driving that business forward.
You can achieve all those career ambitions in this influential role.
A growing business
You’ll be part of an environmental, engineering and health & safety consultancy that’s going through a strong growth phase. The company is fast becoming one of the main players in a niche market – they’ve opened several new offices to serve a burgeoning client base that spans aerospace; chemical; commercial and retail; construction; energy; food and drink; industrial-manufacturing; life sciences; public sector and waste management.
What you can add
You’ll join a supportive, friendly team with a shared determination to move business forward. To fit in, you too will need to be driven – someone who enjoys taking ownership. If you want to use your commercial acumen and creative thinking to identify new business opportunities, come up with smart solutions and drive up sales, you’ll be in your element here.
It’s a client-facing role, leading projects from start to finish and ensuring excellent customer service throughout. There’s a refreshing variety of work from strategic sustainability and management systems development to operational and technical interventions. Whether you’re working with manufacturing, commercial or public sector clients, you’ll need to be willing to travel, including overseas.
On top of a good salary and benefits package, the company will cover all your expenses and provide pool cars. For the right person, they’re happy to provide relocation assistance to Glasgow too – that’s where you’ll be based when you’re not meeting clients.
We’re open minded about your background. Equipped with a degree in a field relating to the environment, energy, chemistry, business, quality, manufacturing (or similar) and membership of a relevant professional institute (e.g. IEMA or CQI), you’re probably currently working as a consultant in integrated management systems (IMS), environment/environmental systems or H&S. You have industrial experience and an internal or lead auditor qualification.
Whatever your focus, you’ll need to demonstrate that you understand waste management and/or site operational environmental health/H&S – enough to support clients to gain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.
You’re a proven project and task manager with a logical, structured approach and strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to auditing, research and data analysis.
Above all, it’s your personal skills that will make the difference. You’ll need to be a confident, credible communicator, on paper and in person. That means you’re able to cultivate fruitful client relationships, make sense of complex solutions, deliver effective training, and bring out the best in the people you’re working with.
There’s so much more we can tell you about the business, their clients and the people you’ll be working with.
